Are you hiding your brand of Christianity when you speak to these sophisticated individuals about secular matters? A flat-earther can hide his wacky confusions, can't he?
In any case, that's irrelevant. Your deepest beliefs come from your so-called religious experience, from your theological interpretations of history, human nature, God, and so on. Those ideas are archaic. They come from an obsolete worldview. Have you at least tried to modernize them? If so, what's the point of quoting so much from the Bible? If everything expresses God, why keep trotting out the Bible like it's your idol?
