Alas, Trumpism has nothing to do with policies. Oh, his followers will appeal to their petty grievances that are based on ignorance and prejudices, to rationalize their cultish support. But the notion that President Trump would address or fix America's social problems, or improve American society is preposterous.
Conservatism reduces to unsustainable social Darwinism, as I argue in a lengthy series, summarized in the articles linked below. Libertarians should be celebrating free trade and the economic principle of comparative advantage (which entails the outsourcing of certain jobs). I repudiate the pseudoscientific economics on which that libertarianism is based, in another series (third link).
I agree, though, that the elites or the professional class can be blamed for many of America's problems. Trumpism, though, is a symptom of those very problems, not their solution.
