Ah, then I think you were being overly literal. I sometimes like to speak paradoxically in the title to make the title more interesting. The point is to get the reader to shift her perspective on progress, on something which is supposed to be inherently good. But if progress were like food, too much of either can become a bad thing.

Progress in the modern sense, as in a reliance on reason, skepticism, and self-awareness can become toxic or counterproductive. So progress, as in too much rationalism can have unintended consequences.
