Again, why would rich folks keep their many material possessions and their massive bank accounts if they don’t love them? Why don’t they sell everything they have and help the poor and the sick on a full-time basis? After all, that’s what God-as-Jesus supposedly called them to do. The gospels answer: rich folks love their wealth more than God and the scriptures. They may be hypocrites, but their actions speak louder than their sanctimonious assurances.
