Again, I'm not really talking about scientists as people. I'm talking about scientific institutions and their role in developed societies. And I don't say even that those institutions have wholly sold out, since they have an intriguing potential to spark a transhumanist revolution. But largely, science and engineering (collectively called "technoscience") themselves as institutions have sold out to capitalist industry.
