I agree that conservatives are better at myth-making and devising catchy rhetoric. Elsewhere I argue that hyper-rational and conscientious liberals have no business being in politics. Politics is about lying to keep the peace, so politicians have to be shameless. I suspect that men are better at being shameless and sociopathic than women, and for the sake of virtue signalling, liberals are feminists so they take on board more compassionate, rational women in their political parties and duly feminize themselves. The result is an impotent, centrist, hand-wringing party like that of the Democrats.
It's possible there will be a military showdown between modern democratic culture and reactionary, right-wing populism. Indeed, the proxy war between the West and Russia in Ukraine might be waged on those issues. I don't know who will win ultimately, but it's hard to see the left convincing or shaming the right. Must one side slaughter the other?
