What's the meaning of objective, strictly physical matter and energy? There is none (apart from the aesthetic meanings I posit), so that kind of existential absurdity falls out of science rather than from my personality.

Also, I don't complain about the irrationality just of "others." On existential grounds, I say all worldviews or philosophies are fundamentally just stories, including mine.
